Veritas Education are currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support a range of secondary schools in Wigan. We are looking for skilled and committed individuals available for day-to-day and short-term cover roles.

The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural support
  • Help maintain strong classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

    • Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting
  • Understanding of supporting students with SEN and additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • A proactive, flexible approach
