About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Kirklees. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people in their education and personal development.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, assist with lesson delivery, and help create a positive learning environment. You will also provide one-to-one or small group support for students who need additional help, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Provide targeted support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage student participation.
    • Requirements
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting student progress.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
