Location: Bolton Contract Type: Full-time Salary: £13.68 - £16.15

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Level 2-3) to join our supportive school team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, including for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Prepare learning materials and maintain classroom displays.
  • Support with record-keeping, observations, and progress monitoring.
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare of pupils at all times.

    • Qualifications & Experience

    Essential:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate/Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
  • Understanding of child development and safeguarding.

    • Desirable:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Additional training in behaviour management or speech and language support.
