We are looking for a caring, committed, and experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Rossendale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support both academically and emotionally.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Supporting children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored interventions and learning activities.
  • Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil development and progress.

    We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Is proactive, reliable and committed to helping children thrive.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
