Veritas Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Batley. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact on their educational journey.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment, ensuring all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to support student progress.
  • Assist students with additional learning needs, including SEND requirements where appropriate.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management.
  • Help prepare learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals when required.

    • The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
