Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential? Veritas Education is currently recruiting Secondary Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible day-to-day supply basis across a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Blackburn from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, or individuals with experience working with young people.

The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in lessons across a variety of subject areas
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group intervention support
  • Assist pupils with additional learning needs where required
  • Promote positive behaviour and student engagement
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a school environment
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
