Veritas Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive and inclusive primary school in Hackney. This is a general SEN TA role, supporting pupils across the classroom, with some 1:1 support required where needed.

The school is looking for a confident and capable SEN TA who can adapt to different needs and work proactively to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN across the classroom

  • Providing targeted 1:1 support when required

  • Assisting the class teacher with differentiation and engagement

  • Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD and other additional needs

  • Helping to maintain a calm, inclusive and structured learning environment

    • The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (essential)

  • Confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs

  • Strong behaviour management and positive reinforcement strategies

  • Flexible, patient and proactive approach

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
