Teaching Assistant

Salary: £24,454 - £26,015 (pro‑rata, term‑time only) Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:30pm Contract: Permanent for the right candidate

A specialist school in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a committed and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support autistic and neurodivergent children and young people in accessing highly tailored programmes of study within a nurturing, forward-thinking environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team
  • Help deliver bespoke learning programmes that meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Foster positive relationships to support students' wellbeing, engagement, and progress
  • Contribute to creating a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment

    • What We're Looking For:

  • Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent)
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people
  • A willingness to learn, develop and engage in ongoing training
  • Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
