Teaching Assistant (Y4-Y5) - Darwen

Start Date: Immediate Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Contract Type: Long-term placement

Veritas Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4-5 class in Darwen. This role requires strong experience working with pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, providing both classroom support and targeted interventions.

Applicants must have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Proven experience supporting SEMH students
  • Ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviour
  • A proactive and adaptable approach

    • Safeguarding & Application Requirements: Enhanced DBS, references, and full employment history for the last 10 years are required. Legal right to work in the UK.

    Safeguarding & Application Requirements: All applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS Check, reference checks, and any necessary overseas police clearances (if applicable) in line with safeguarding policies. Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment, including explanations for any gaps. Legal right to work in the UK and be willing to attend a registration interview.
