Position: Year 5 Teaching Assistant (Level 3 Qualified)

Location: Nelson

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join a Year 5 team in a Primary School in Nelson. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students, working closely with the class teacher to ensure a positive and engaging learning experience for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Support the social and emotional well-being of students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and ethos.
  • Participate in school events, outings, and extracurricular activities.

    • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in Key Stage 2.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
