Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Reception & Year 2)

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive village primary school to recruit two Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for caring, patient, and committed individuals who are passionate about supporting early learning and making a real difference in the classroom.

The Roles
  • Position 1: 1:1 support for a Reception pupil
  • Position 2: 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support learning, engagement, and phonics development
    • Hours
  • Monday to Friday, term time only
  • 9:00am - 3:30pm
  • 30‑minute unpaid break
    • Key Requirements
  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting
  • Strong phonics knowledge
  • A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach
  • Ability to support pupils 1:1 with learning and emotional needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
