Position Information
Blacktown Boys High School (Years 7–12) is a partially selective public school located on Darug land, within walking distance of the Blacktown CBD. With an enrolment of approximately 908 students, the school embraces a diverse student body, including 22.8% from non-English speaking backgrounds and 1.8% Aboriginal students. The school offers a range of educational pathways through its academically selective stream, High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) class, mainstream classes, and an Inclusive Education Unit.

Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Industrial Technology Timber (ITW) and willing to teach Technology Mandatory Years 7-8 (ITX)
Willingness to teach Industrial Technology Engineering Stage 5.
Demonstrated ability to engage diverse learners in a practical workspace ensuring a safe environment for all students.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially within an experienced TAS faculty, including the commitment to participate in whole school initiatives.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Applicants seeking either permanent full time or permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply for this position. If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE.
