Position Information
James Busby High School is a diverse and inclusive co-educational comprehensive high school located in the south-west Sydney with an enrolment of 540. Our setting includes a large and dynamic Special Education Unit comprising 10 classes, with 96 enrolled students. We celebrate our multicultural student body that includes 42 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, as well as 78% of students from a language background other than English.

Specific Selection Criteria

 

1.    Approval to teach Technology Mandatory, approved and/or willing to teach other TAS subject areas.

      2.      Demonstrated capacity to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and contribute towards the development of programs         and resources.

       3.      Evidence of effective classroom management to promote a supportive and positive learning environment.

       4.      Demonstrated ability to lead an inclusive learning environment that caters for engagement and differentiation of abilities,                         including gifted and talented students and those from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
