Position Information
Built around a small community, Galston High School is nestled within the semi-rural area of Galston and Dural. With a focus on providing high-quality educational opportunities, Galston High School provides a warm and supportive environment for all of its 550 students, offering a rich curriculum in a co-educational and comprehensive setting. Expressions of interest are invited from qualified applicants to fill the position of a permanent (full-time) Technology and Applied Studies teacher for years 7-12. This position will allow the successful applicant to become part of a dynamic and supportive team, building their capacity through engagement in a well-supported and resourced school environment.
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Technology Mandatory Stage 4
- Approval to teach Industrial Technology Stages 5 & 6 (Subjects: ITW Industrial Technology-Timber)
- Demonstrated effective classroom management and well-being practices to build positive learning outcomes
- Demonstrated understanding of differentiation and the needs of gifted and talented students.
- Demonstrated high levels of communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents and the wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
