Blakehurst High School is a highly successful co-educational comprehensive school. The school caters to a diverse and multicultural student population of 935, including many English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) learners, 12 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and 21 international students. Specific Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach ITX Technology Mandatory. Approval to teach ITW Technology-Timber and/or ENS Engineering Studies/Industrial Technology-Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage safe, active practical learning environments that foster inclusive learning and promote student engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of the TAS team to design, develop and implement innovative programs to maximise student learning outcomes.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
