Position Information
Students at Balranald Central School access a continuum of learning across K-12 in a caring and friendly environment. Our current enrolment is 200 students, including 42 Aboriginal students. All staff know students and focus on academic achievement and wellbeing in a positive school culture.
The closest major centres are in Victoria and many services are accessed from these locations. The community and shire are strong supporters of the school and Balranald.
Balranald Central School has many long-standing teaching and administration staff combined with beginning teachers that work collectively and collaboratively to achieve meaningful student learning goals.

Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Technology Mandatory and Food Technology 7-12
- Ability to work collaboratively with an innovative team and other faculties to support the development and implementation of high-quality practical and theoretical components within teaching and learning programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with students, staff and the school community
- Willingness to teach and obtain qualification to deliver HSC Vocational Education and Training (VET) course in Hospitality
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
