Position Information
Ryde Secondary College (Years 7-12) has an enrolment of 1500 students, including 67% students from an EAL/D background. It is a comprehensive high school with an academically selective cohort, an additional class for gifted and talented students, regular classes in each cohort, and students with special needs. The College has extensive whole school, extracurricular, sporting and community partnership programs. The TAS faculty runs an annual Fashion Show as a major whole school event and a range of primary workshops in all TAS subjects.
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Food Technology and Technology Mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and contribute effectively to faculty programs and whole school initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, challenging, differentiated lessons and programs that meet the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of all students - including selective, gifted and talented learners and those requiring additional support.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
