Position Information
Richmond High School is a comprehensive 7-12 High School which provides quality educational opportunities to a Local Enrolment stream, a Support stream with 7 classes from 2024, an Ag-STEM Specialty stream and an Ag-STEM Selective stream.
Approximately 800 students will be enrolled in 2025. This includes 53 students in the support unit, with 15% of our student body identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Our school will grow in the coming years. The school is committed to excellence in teaching and learning where all students can succeed. Our staff are committed to quality teaching, innovation and maintaining a caring, supportive environment. We offer a comprehensive curriculum, including a full range of academic core, elective and vocational courses. Our school has an extensive range of extracurricular activities.
Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Food Technology and (VET) Hospitality – Food and Beverage.
2. Effective classroom management skills to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
3. Demonstrated capacity to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and school community, contributing to programs, resource creation and whole-school initiatives to improve educational outcomes for all students.
4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
