Position Information
Narrabeen Sports High School is a dynamic and inclusive, 7-12 comprehensive, coeducational high school, with an enrolment of 850 students, including 16 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students). Our significant school upgrade is creating a modern learning environment to support teaching excellence. Our modern TAS facilities include new Timber and STEM/ D&T rooms to complement the trade training centre. As an Australian Olympic Pathway School, our Elective Sports Academy also draws talented student-athletes. The NEST (Narrabeen Elanora Student & Teacher) collaboration facilitates strong K-12 pathways for talent development in all areas of school life. The school embeds strong academic and arts opportunities with a focus on positive school learning culture to empower students to achieve their personal best. Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Industrial Technology- Timber and Technology Mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to use effective classroom management skills to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments that foster a culture of high expectations
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members to develop, implement and evaluate programs that support faculty goals and student growth.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
