Position Information

Albury High School is a comprehensive high school with approximately 900 students, including 70 Indigenous students and 21 students in three Multicategorical classes.

The school supports a diverse student body, offering strong programs for students with learning difficulties as well as those excelling academically, in sports, and the arts. The school encourages goal setting and skill development for all students.

Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs are integrated within three school faculties, and students have access to additional courses through Albury TAFE. The active learning support team focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters achievement. Students consistently perform well in external exams and receive nominations for NESA showcase exhibitions.

Albury High School maintains strong partnerships with local educational institutions such as TAFE, Charles Sturt University, La Trobe University, and other government schools.

Specific Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach Food Technology and Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8)
  • Capacity to create a positive classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a collaborative member of the Home Economics faculty. 

 
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
