Position Information

St Andrews Public School is located in Campbelltown, in South West Sydney. The school has an enrolment of 790 students which includes 7% Aboriginal students, 47% from English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD), an Opportunity Class (OC) and seven support classes including 2 - Moderate Intellectual Disability (IO), 1 - Moderate Intellectual Disability and Autism (IO/AU), 2- Multi-Categorical (MC), 1 - Mild Intellectual Disability (IM) and 1- Autism (AU).

The school's vision statement, 'Children, First and Foremost' is clearly visible across our setting and is at the heart of all decision making. The school has excellent resources to cater for students and their individual learning needs and provides a variety of extra curricular activities such as a dance group, debating, Tournament of Minds and many additional opportunities. Students have access to a beautiful and stimulating sensory garden and a Structured Play Area (SPA) has been designed to support our students who require additional support on the playground.

The school has a Student Prefect Leadership Team, Student Representative Council (SRC) and a Junior Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) which meet on a weekly basis and are active in the future direction of the school.

The school has created collaborative systems to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate processes and practices to ensure high levels of accountability. These processes provide feedback to consistently refine teaching practices to improve student outcomes.  Our two appointed Assistant Principals - Curriculum and Instruction continue to work hard to build the capacity of middle leaders and support teachers to implement effective evidence-informed literacy and numeracy practices to improve teaching, learning and assessment across the curriculum.
