Position Information
Manning Gardens Public School is a beautiful and dynamic Preschool to Year 6 educational setting on the NSW mid north coast. We take pride in providing a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment where students and staff grow through quality teaching and learning. Manning Gardens Public School has an enrolment of approximately 245 students and seven supported learning classes from 2026. Our Supported Learning department is made up of an early Intervention class, two MC classes, an IO/AU class and three IO/IS classes. 65% of our students have an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background. We strive to provide a quality, trauma informed approach to wellbeing and community relationships. Our staff are passionate, enthusiastic and resilient. They are committed to our students, families and community through strong home, school and community partnerships.
Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with autism and behaviour difficulties.
Demonstrated quality classroom practice and highly developed behaviour management skills which enhance student engagement and the development of social skills through enriched, differentiated and individualised learning programs.
Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum by developing and implementing personalised learning and support that is culturally responsive, maximises student growth, fosters high expectations and promotes student engagement.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills that promote collaboration with staff and positive relationships with parents, carers, community members, support agencies and students.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
