Position Information
Nestled in the vibrant inner west of Sydney, Leichhardt Public School is on Wangal and Gadigal land and has an enrolment of 530 students across 21 mainstream classes and 3 multi-stage support unit classes.

Specific Selection Criteria
Demonstrated Experience: Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism and complex learning and support needs within an inclusive classroom setting.
Personalised Learning and Differentiation: Demonstrated commitment to quality classroom practice and positive behaviour support through the design and delivery of high-quality, differentiated and personalised learning programs that respond to the diverse strengths and needs of students with disabilities.
Working Collaboratively to Build Strong Partnerships: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SLSOs, counsellors, parents, carers and external agencies to plan, implement and review supports that ensure inclusion and success for all learners.
Building Relationships and School Culture: Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents, and to model inclusion, positive engagement and professionalism, contributing to a strong sense of belonging and the collaborative culture of Leichhardt Public School.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
