Position Information

Casino Public School is a P-6 primary school. Our students are from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities and achievements represented in each year group. Aboriginal students represent 34% of enrolments. Our public preschool, Djanangmum preschool, is designated specifically for Aboriginal students. The school has a Support Unit with four support classes. The school is organised into five teams, four stage teams and the Support Unit team. Each team is led by an Assistant Principal with the support of two Deputy Principals, two Assistant Principals Curriculum & Instruction, an Aboriginal Education Instructional Leader and the Principal. The total current enrolment is approximately 500 students.

Casino Public School works closely with schools in Casino and surrounds, including Casino West Public School and Casino High School. As a school community we embrace developing relationships and connections within and across our schools and community. Our school works closely with the Djanangmum AECG and other local community organisations to grow relationships within the community to improve outcomes for our students.

Positive respectful relationships underpin productive learning environments which support students to develop their identities as they learn. Our school culture is one of high expectations for achievement, a shared sense of responsibility for student engagement, learning development and success.
