Position Information

At Boggabri Public School, "we Educate, Enrich, and Empower". Boggabri is a small town in north-western New South Wales. It is part of the Narrabri Shire and lies between Gunnedah and Narrabri on the Kamilaroi Highway. The school has an enrolment of 99 students across five classes, with approximately 34% of students identifying as Aboriginal. The school's commitment to excellence is reflected in the core values of Respect, Cooperation, Honesty and Fairness, which permeate every aspect of our school life. Our skilled educators foster a vibrant, safe, and caring environment where every student is support through personal learning plans, catering to Indigenous students and those with learning difficulties. In 2025, the school is establishing their first Multi-Categorical class and we are looking for a passionate classroom teacher to join our team in this role. 

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach special education and/or experience in teaching students K-6 with complex learning and support needs including Autism, Mild Intellectual Disability and/or Moderate Intellectual Disability. 

Demonstrated skills and experience using a range of inclusive classroom management and wellbeing approaches to cater for the communication, sensory, social and emotional needs of students. 

Ability to plan and effectively implement personalised learning, behaviour and support plans with all stakeholders to support the behavioural, social, sensory and wellbeing needs of diverse learners. 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE.
