Position Information
Dubbo College Delroy Campus is situated in a large regional city with an enrolment of 550 students. Approximately 50% of our students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The campus delivers education across stages 4 and 5 where students are assessed for the Record of Student Achievement (ROSA). The school has eight support classes and three other specialised classes focusing on targeted individual support.
Delroy Campus is part of a three campus collegiate, Dubbo College, enrolling 1850 students. Dubbo College is the largest provider of secondary education in Dubbo. The college consists of Senior Campus, catering for students in Year 11 and 12. Two junior campuses, Delroy Campus and South Campus, cater for students in Years 7 to 10.
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval and/or experience in teaching Autism and/ or Behaviour Difficulties and/ or Mild Intellect Disability and/ or Moderate Intellect Disability and/ or Emotion Disturbance.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to meet the needs of a support classroom with a range of student abilities.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to collaboratively contribute to the achievement of the school’s priorities.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (Conditions Apply).
