Position Information

Bossley Park High School is a large coeducational comprehensive high school proudly serving the South Western Sydney community since 1988. There are 1160 students in the school with 82% of the population coming from a Non English Speaking Background. The school prides itself on outstanding academic success, high quality teaching and learning, including an emphasis on the use of technology and 21st Century learning. The school is recognised for its broad curriculum including an iSTEM program which is coordinated by the Industrial Arts Faculty.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach SDD Software Design and Development (Years 11&12). 

Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within the Industrial Arts faculty with a commitment to developing quality teaching and learning programs and resources that embed the school’s strategic directions.

Proven ability of classroom management and the capacity to manage practical workspaces to ensure student safety, full participation and high levels of engagement in lessons to enhance student learning opportunities in a range of practical contexts. 

Well-developed interpersonal, communicative and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.

Conditions

The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions apply)

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
