Position Information
Willyama High School (enrolment 616, including 143 Aboriginal students) is a comprehensive secondary school located in Broken Hill in Far West NSW. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Science (7-10). Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based, explicit teaching practices that effectively engage and develop students with a wide range of abilities, with a strong focus on improving literacy, numeracy and student engagement. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive high-expectation relationships and collaborate effectively with students, staff and families. Demonstrated ability to effectively incorporate technology in the classroom, using modern and innovative practices to enhance teaching and learning. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies that support Aboriginal students’ academic and personal success, ensuring a culturally safe and supportive learning environment.
Conditions
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
