Position Information

Blackwattle Bay Senior Campus, the senior campus of Sydney Secondary College, is located on the beautiful foreshore of Blackwattle Bay in Glebe and is easily accessible by public transport. The senior campus caters to approximately 808 students, drawing from the Balmain and Leichhardt junior campuses, including students in a selective stream, support unit, and the Big Picture Advisory program.

The school offers an extensive senior curriculum designed to meet the diverse needs of our student body. Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Biology and Earth and Environmental Science.

Demonstrated ability to promote high expectations and implement effective, evidence-informed explicit teaching for diverse learners, including Aboriginal students, students with disability, and EAL/D learners.

Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
