Position Information
Liverpool Girls High School is a comprehensive girls' high school with an enrolment of approximately 760 students serving a diverse area of South West Sydney. The school is proud of its multicultural background with over 89% of students coming from a language background other than English. The school has its main focus on improving student learning outcomes through personalised learning experiences that engage, empower and enable its students to thrive and achieve their potential. High quality teaching practices are supported through whole-school, and targeted, professional learning focused on improving student learning outcomes. Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Biology and Investigating Science and a willingness to teach Chemistry and Earth and Environmental Science.
2. Capacity to work collaboratively within a Science faculty with evidence of developing quality teaching and learning programs, lessons and resources.
3. Ability to use classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create a classroom environment that is engaging and fosters a culture of high expectations.
4. Ability to differentiate the curriculum to provide meaningful learning experiences that meet the individual learning needs of a diverse student body.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
