Position Information
James Fallon High School is a comprehensive 7-12 high school of approximately 700 students in Albury. It caters to a very diverse enrolment, including approximately 24% Aboriginal students. The school receives equity funding to support students from low socio-economic backgrounds, Aboriginal and English Learning students, and for students requiring low level disability adjustments.
The school community looks forward to achieving the school's identified improvement measures in the 2021-2024 Strategic Improvement Plan. The school is a Big Picture school with an Academy of 53 students. The school has a large integrated support unit of 8 classes, known as the Diverse Learning Faculty across the school community. The school has a Deputy Principal Inclusion and Support.
The school possesses strengths in the areas of collaborative professional learning, strategic partnerships within the Albury educational community, and support for student learning. The staff possess a broad range of experiences and skills and are enthusiastic about authentic school innovation to improve learning outcomes for students.
Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Science, Chemistry and Physics.
Capacity to integrate innovative curriculum and learning strategies into teaching practice.
Conditions
The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions apply)
A relocation support package of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
