Position Information
Bass High School, located in South-Western Sydney as part of the Chipping Norton Network, embodies a diverse and inclusive educational focus. With approximately 910 students from years 7-12, including a specialised Support Unit catering to up to 50 students with autism, and mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, our school fosters a rich tapestry of talent and backgrounds.
Diversity is celebrated, with over 82% of our students coming from non-English speaking backgrounds, while our enrolment comprises of 23 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Science
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
Demonstrated capacity to work as a faculty team member, including developing engaging teaching and learning programs, collaborative lesson planning and sharing of expertise, as well as proactive and effective classroom management strategies to engage students with a differentiated curriculum.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
