Position Information
Students at Balranald Central School access a continuum of learning across K-12 in a caring and friendly environment. Our current enrolment is 185 students, including 38 Aboriginal students. All staff know students and focus on academic achievement and wellbeing in a positive school culture.
The closest major centres are in Victoria and many services are accessed from these locations. The community and shire are strong supporters of the school and Balranald.

Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach 7-10 science and 11-12 biology
- Demonstrated ability to develop quality teaching resources, relevant to students with a diverse range of learning needs, cultural backgrounds and personal interests
- Demonstrated ability to use effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create a learning environment that is engaging and fosters a culture of high expectations
- Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member of a faculty and a commitment to whole-school programs
Conditions
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Applicants seeking either permanent full time or permanent part time employment are encouraged to apply for this position. If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE.
