Position Information
St Clair High School is a comprehensive secondary school located in Sydney's western suburbs. It has an Inclusive Education Unit which has 5 multi-category classes. The student population of 756 is now beginning to see a steady increase. The St Clair High School community is culturally and linguistically diverse. Whilst 38% of students have a non-English speaking background, 10% require some level of English as an additional language or dialect support. 9% of students identify as having an Aboriginal background.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Personal Development, Health & Physical Education 7 - 12 and Sport Lifestyle and Recreation (SLR)

Capacity to deliver a variety of effective and differentiated learning experiences that will result in student growth across a range of abilities and cultural backgrounds.

Ability to use effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create classrooms and outdoor environments that are engaging and inclusive.

Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills that build positive relationships in the faculty and wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
