Position Information

Seven Hills High School is situated on traditional Darug land in Greater Western Sydney with an enrolment of 480 students, including 8% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students.

Seven Hills High School is a member of the Nirimba Collegiate which includes Quakers Hill High School, Riverstone High School and Wyndham College. In 2021, the school began transitioning from a Year 7-10 high school to a comprehensive high school, with the addition of Year 11. Year 12 classes commenced in 2022. As a member of the Nirimba Collegiate, Seven Hills High School offers cross campus senior curriculum and learning opportunities for students in both years.

Seven Hills High School is a pilot school for the Vocational High Schools Program. Its specialist VET Facility, The Vocational Innovation Centre was opened in 2023 and currently offers both TAFE delivered and school based VET courses open to all senior students across Western Sydney.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE).

Demonstrated capacity to use effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.  

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and connections between staff, students and the wider school community to enhance student engagement.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
