Position Information

Quakers Hill High School is a comprehensive coeducational 7-12 public school, which forms part of the Nirimba Collegiate of schools, located on Darug land in the north-west of Sydney. The 2026 enrolment is approximately 980 students, a 13% gain since 2024.

Students at Quakers Hill High School benefit from comprehensive learning and support structures, classes for High Potential and Gifted students, and future focused learning. In the senior school, access to courses at different collegiate schools expands curriculum choice for students. The school has a Support Unit, providing three multi-categorical classes and two classes for students with autism spectrum disorder.

There are 53 students enrolled who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Approximately 32% of students are from a language background other than English, most of whom have spent more than 7 years enrolled in Australian schools.

Learning at Quakers Hill High School is underpinned by the SMART Code, which supports all students to be Safe, Motivated, Academic, Respectful and Tolerant learners. This is the main expression of the school's commitment to Positive Behaviour for Learning. Students regularly take part in SMART lessons to enhance engagement and achievement across the curriculum.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.

 

Capacity to work effectively as part of a collaborative PDHPE faculty to plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality teaching and learning programs that support student engagement and achievement.

Willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives, particularly the school’s sporting program, including supporting student participation, engagement and positive school culture.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

This is an above centrally identified permanent position established through school funds. The successful candidate’s continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of funding, the ongoing requirement of the position and the educational needs of the school.
