Position Information

Narromine High School is a school in Western NSW consisting of around 240 students with a 72% Aboriginal student enrolment. Students enrolled at Narromine High School come from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds. Through quality teaching, Narromine High School seeks to prepare students to fulfil their potential and pursue excellence in all fields of endeavour. Student wellbeing is a priority at Narromine High School, which is evident with the operation of our Wellbeing HUB that works closely with Allied Health Services and provides a space for these meetings. 

Specific Selection Criteria
  1. Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education 
  2. Demonstrated high levels of communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents and the wider school community
  3. Demonstrated ability and commitment to building positive relationships with students to support their wellbeing and create a positive and safe learning environment.
  4. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
