Position Information
Narrandera High School is a comprehensive secondary school located in the Riverina region, with an enrolment of approximately 330 students - 30% of whom identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The school has a proud tradition of academic achievement, sporting success, and cultural excellence.
Narrandera High School offers a range of specialised programs and support services, including an Intervention Centre that promotes inclusive practices and personalised learning, a Clontarf Academy, the Stars Foundation, and an Aboriginal Learning and Engagement Centre (ALEC). Currently, the school operates two multi-categorical classrooms, with a third classroom planned to open in 2026, which will include additional staffing and a Head Teacher position.
Narrandera High School is a successful Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school, emphasising restorative practices and the development of positive relationships across the school community.
Our school implements a compressed curriculum model for Stage 6 students, enabling students to engage in accelerated learning pathways. Our HSC results demonstrate value-added progress from Year 9 to Year 12, with more than half of our Year 12 graduates receiving offers to study a diverse range of courses at various universities.

Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach mathematics.
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills to build positive relationships with teachers, students, parents and the community.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the mathematics faculty to develop effective and engaging teaching and learning programs for diverse range of learners.
Demonstrated ability to implement effective classroom management strategies and contribute to differentiated teaching and learning strategies to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
