Position Information

Coolah Central School caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The school has a student population of 140 including 37 students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait and are supported by equity programs. Coolah Central School is located in the upper Central West Region, 1 hour from Mudgee, 90 minutes from Dubbo and 3 ½ hours from Newcastle. It is part of the Warrumbungle Shire. The school's mission statement states that "Coolah Central School, in partnership with the community, promotes excellence by challenging and supporting individuals to create their future, in a secure and caring environment.” The school is well resourced with outstanding facilities including refurbished learning spaces including science laboratories and trade training spaces. The dedicated and professional staff are supported by an active P&C in catering for the diverse learning and welfare needs of the student body.

Specific Selection Criteria

- Approval to teach Mathematics 7 - 12

- Demonstrated capacity to engage all learners and create a culture of high expectations

- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to enhance positive relationships with all members of the school community

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
