Position Information

Chatswood High School is a partially selective school located on Sydney's North Shore. Students benefit and thrive from our diverse and differentiated curriculum designed to maximise every student's potential. Chatswood High School has an enrolment of 1989 students, including 79% students from a non-English speaking background. The school has an Academically Selective Stream of two classes from Years 7-10, a Gifted and Talented class Years 7-10, mainstream enrolments who are our local students, as well as four classes in our Support Unit for students diagnosed with autism and intellectual disabilities. Offering a diverse curriculum, there is a strong emphasis on quality teaching and maximising student success. Chatswood High School has recently completed a large redevelopment project with major refurbishment and new buildings.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Mathematics Years 7-10, Mathematics Years 11-12 and Mathematics Extension 1&2.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the Mathematics faculty and contribute to faculty programs, assessment, reporting and resource development.

Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and differentiated Mathematics teaching and learning programs that focus on student growth and improving student outcomes including HPGE students, EAL/D students and students requiring learning support.

 Ability to work as a member of both faculty and whole school teams with strong interpersonal skills.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
