About this job

Position Information

Mulwaree High School is the largest comprehensive secondary school in Goulburn. With a stable student population of 830, following a recent zone change, the school serves a diverse community, with approximately 9% of students identifying as Aboriginal and 6% from non-English speaking backgrounds.

The school community is united by core values of respect, responsibility, and opportunity, and we foster a culture of kindness, resilience, and happiness. Mulwaree High promotes a positive environment where students are encouraged to seize opportunities to explore and develop their talents. Students actively engage in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, cultural pursuits, and academic competitions, representing the school at all levels.

We are committed to the holistic development of every student, with a collaborative approach to decision-making involving staff, students, and the broader community. This ensures we remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of all. Our ongoing focus on improving classroom practices is supported by high-impact professional learning, which enhances both literacy and numeracy outcomes. Through improved data analysis and personalised, differentiated learning, we work to elevate student achievement.  As part of our school-wide initiative, James Nottingham’s Learning Pit model is central to our approach, resulting in more explicit assessment feedback and significant improvements in student performance.
