Position Information
Students at Balranald Central School access a continuum of learning across K-12 in a caring and friendly environment. Our current enrolment is 200 students, including 42 Aboriginal students. All staff know students and focus on academic achievement and wellbeing in a positive school culture.
The closest major centres are in Victoria and many services are accessed from these locations. The community and shire are strong supporters of the school and Balranald.
Balranald Central School has many long-standing teaching and administration staff combined with beginning teachers that work collectively and collaboratively to achieve meaningful student learning goals.

Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Library (Secondary or Primary) or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Library (Secondary or Primary) qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education
2. Demonstrated creative, innovative, and flexible approach to managing a stimulating library learning environment to engage all students and enhance their learning experiences
3. Demonstrated experience in library management systems used in NSW Department of Education schools to monitor and maintain school library resources including digital content such as eBooks and website
4. Demonstrated capacity or interest in generalist teaching across K-12 as required in a small school setting
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
