Position Information
Sadleir Public School is a member of the Liverpool Network of schools in South Western Sydney. In addition to mainstream classes the school has a DOE preschool and a support unit for students with Autism and/or intellectual disabilities.
There are 353 students currently enrolled P – 6. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students make up 9% of the student population. 82% of students have a language background other than English with Arabic, Samoan and Vietnamese making up the largest language groups. The school has an Arabic Community Language program.

Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Infants & Primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a primary school library using the Oliver Library Management system, including budget, technology and resource management.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead a dynamic, innovative and student focused library learning space that promotes a love of literature.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and build positive relationships within a diverse school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
A permanent part time teacher for 4 days per week 0.8FTE (Full-time equivalent) vacancy exists at Sadleir Public School.
If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
