Position Information
Belmore South Public School has an enrolment of 267 students, including 83% of students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect. Belmore South has a clear vision for learning based on the principles of visible learning combined with a future-focused mindset. This includes a commitment to co-teaching in flexible learning spaces and an emphasis on future focused education. Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
Capacity to integrate technologies into effective and innovative classroom practice to inspire and engage future focused learners.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with a diverse school community.
A willingness and enthusiasm to contribute to whole school culture and extra curricula programs. Skills and/or experience in public speaking and debating and information communication technology.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
This is a permanent part time position for (3 days per week) 0.6FTE (full-time equivalent).
If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
