Position Information

Paddington Public School is a heritage school, built in 1856 and is one of the oldest school in NSW. With a population of approximately 150 students, our student enrolment originates from many different nationalities. This provides for a context of rich cultures in which students from all different backgrounds can learn and thrive together. A carefully designed innovative 'Maker Space' is available to all students. It is a collaborative and creative learning environment where learning goals are flexible. students identify, communicate, design and create solutions to projects whilst in this space.

Specific Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach K-6 library or currently undertaking or enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

2. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a primary school library using the Oliver Library Management system to monitor and maintain school library resources including digital content.

3. Proven experience in creating an engaging, inclusive learning hub that focuses on high expectations and positive classroom behaviour practices for all students. 

4. Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents and the wider school community.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
