Position Information

North Wagga Public School is situated to the north of the city of Wagga Wagga, adjacent to the Murrumbidgee River. Our school boasts well-resourced, attractive teaching and learning spaces and large open playing areas. We have a current student population of 175 students, including 16 Aboriginal students, enrolled across 8 mainstream classes and 1 Autism support class.

As Teacher Librarian at our great school, you will build educational aspirations for every student to realise their potential through a culture of high expectations, quality teaching and learning and positive, inclusive connections across our community.

Specific Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach Infants & Primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education with a knowledge of and commitment to delivering quality teaching and learning library programs.
  • Demonstrated creative, innovative and flexible approach to managing a stimulating library learning environment to engage all students and enhance their learning experiences.
  • Proven experience in creating a inclusive environment that focuses on high expectations, positive classroom behaviour and wellbeing practices.
  • Demonstrated high level on communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents and the wider school community.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

 

 

Special Notes

A permanent part time teacher for 2 days per week 0.2FTE (Full-time equivalent) vacancy exists at North Wagga Public School.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
