Position Information

Parramatta Public School is in the heart of the city of the Parramatta CBD.

The school is currently enriched by the 744 students with 95% of our students having a language background other than English. Two students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. More than 44 language backgrounds are represented within the total enrolments in the school.

 

The school delivers learning programs addressing the needs of all learners, embedding differentiation across all learning areas.

 

The school participates in the City of Parramatta’s ‘Green Travel Plan’.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

Demonstrated creative, innovative, and flexible approach to managing a stimulating library learning environment to engage all students and enhance their learning experiences.

Demonstrated experience in library management systems used in NSW Department of Education schools to monitor and maintain school library resources including digital content such as eBooks and websites.

Demonstrated capacity or interest in leading programs in public speaking.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

 

 

Special Notes

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.

Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
