About this job
Position Information
Orange Grove Public School is located on Wangal Country in the Inner West suburb of Lilyfield. The school caters for 558 students from Preschool to Year 6 and is recognised for its strong culture of collaboration, inclusiveness and high expectations.
Staff are committed to providing high-quality educational, social, cultural and sporting programs. Evidence-based teaching practice, explicit teaching and the analysis and use of data underpin our approach to improving student learning outcomes.
The school has a strong focus on student engagement and wellbeing, supported by whole-school restorative practices and a strong Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) culture. Students are encouraged to be respectful, responsible and active learners who positively contribute to the school community.
Our recent External Validation affirmed significant strengths in effective classroom practice, collaborative professional learning and the systematic use of assessment data to drive continuous improvement. Orange Grove Public School is a cohesive learning community where staff, students and families work together to support student success.
The school is entering an exciting period of growth, with a major school upgrade commencing in 2026. During the works, the library will be temporarily relocated to a demountable, while an existing school building is refurbished and converted into the library. This upgrade will enhance learning environments across the school and provide improved facilities for students, staff and the wider community.
More information on the upgrade can be found here: https://www.schoolinfrastructure.nsw.gov.au/projects/o/orange-grove-public-school-upgrade.html
