Position Information

Narrabeen Sports High School is a dynamic and inclusive, 7-12 comprehensive, coeducational high school, with an enrolment of 850 students, including 16 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students). Our significant school upgrade is creating a modern learning environment to support teaching excellence. As an Australian Olympic Pathway School, our Elective Sports Academy also draws talented student-athletes. Specific Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Secondary Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
2. Capacity to contribute to whole school programs to develop a culture of reading, literacy, digital literacy, research skills and critical thinking for students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
3. Demonstrated experience and/or ability to lead and co-ordinate library programs, systems, and procedures to support the effective functioning of the library and to promote library use and resources.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
