  • Mary Help of Christians Catholic College, Shaw is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher-Librarian to commence in January 2025 in either a permanent full-time or a permanent part-time capacity.

The Teacher-Librarian is a professional who holds both a teaching qualification and a qualification in librarianship, recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and the Australian School Library Association (ASLA).

As an educator and an information specialist, the Teacher-Librarian supports delivery of the college’s curriculum through:

  • the provision of responsive and dynamic resource and information services to the college community

  • collaboration within the school community to integrate these services into teaching and learning programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral role in establishing and growing the college’s library and information service over the coming years. The successful applicant will work closely with the Principal, the college leadership team, and TCE’s Information and Resources Adviser to ensure that our library and information services meet the needs of 21st-century learners, teachers and the broader college community. This role offers a unique chance for professional growth and development.
